Holidays to Populonia

The city houses the private collection Gasparri which preserves artifacts from the surrounding area and the findings of the underwater part of the sea of the Gulf of Baratti.
 
The remains of the ancient city with its Etruscan walls and buildings of the Roman period, are still visible in the current built-up area, while in the old town of Piombino houses the Archaeological Museum of Populonia.
